President Donald Trump said Wednesday in a Truth Social post that he spoke with NBC's "Today" host Savannah Guthrie and said he was making federal law enforcement resources immediately available to her family and local authorities in the search for her mother, Nancy Guthrie.
"I spoke with Savannah Guthrie, and let her know that I am directing ALL Federal Law Enforcement to be at the family's, and Local Law Enforcement's, complete disposal, IMMEDIATELY," Trump wrote.
"We are deploying all resources to get her mother home safely," he continued. "The prayers of our Nation are with her and her family. GOD BLESS AND PROTECT NANCY!"
Nancy Guthrie was last seen at her home in the Catalina Foothills area of Tucson, Arizona, over the weekend.
Authorities say the case is now being investigated as a possible abduction after what law enforcement described as concerning evidence was found at the residence.
The Pima County Sheriff's Department, along with the FBI and other federal agencies, continues to investigate, with no suspects publicly identified as of Wednesday.
Savannah Guthrie and her siblings have made public appeals for their mother's safe return, urging anyone with information to contact authorities.
The host has stepped away from her duties on the "Today" show as the search continues and has asked for prayers and privacy for her family.
