Former GOP Vice Presidential-nominee Sarah Palin would consider a run for Senate against incumbent Sen. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, if it was God's will and the "state wants me to, or needs me to."

"If God wants me to do it I will," Palin told Ché Ahn, leader of the New Apostolic Reformation movement, in a video posted on Instagram in late July.

Palin was late Sen. John McCain's, R-Ariz., running mate against former President Barack Obama in 2008 and said she was put through a wringer of investigations, allegations, and liberal media attacks, and scrutiny that ultimately led to her resigning from the Alaska governor's mansion in 2009.

She retreated home away in the great outdoors of Alaska, which she noted she would have to "sacrifice" if she was to consider a run for Senate and having go to the "bubble of Washington, D.C."

Murkowski has been one of the Senate Republicans deemed vulnerable in 2022 because she will not get the endorsement of former President Donald Trump, having voted to impeach him for Jan. 6 incitement to insurrection after he left office.

Trump has endorsed Kelly Tshibaka to challenge Murkowski.

"The kind of scary thing about it is, I've been in politics it seems like all my life up there in Alaska, and I've never heard of her," Palin said in the video posted on Instagram.

Alaska will be using ranked-choice voting for the first time in 2022, and a Democrat pollster noted Tshibaka would win the Senate seat if the vote was held in July.

Palin called out the tepid support of her Christian brethren in the failed 2008 presidential race and her ultimate withdraw from politics thereafter.

"What I would do, if I were to announce, I would [say], 'you know what, you guys better be there for me this time, because a lot of people were not there for me last time," Palin said.

"And that's why characterization, why, I got clobbered."

Murkowski is currently working with Democrats on the $1 trillion infrastructure bill, but it was her voting for impeachment that earned her censure by the Alaskan Republican Party.
