White House press secretary declared Monday it’s “indisputable” President Donald Trump has accomplished more to defeat ISIS than President Barack Obama did in eight years in the Oval Office.
The effusive praise came in a pair of tweets Monday lauding the administration’s foreign policy achievements.
Sanders also tweeted a statement from Vice President Mike Pence that credited Trump for “achieving real results on the international stage.”
The victory lap comes after news that 1,000 ISIS fighters have surrendered in Iraq in the wake of the Iraqi military’s capture of the city of Hawija.
Last month, the president himself took a bow for the swift progress, crediting a strategy that’s “proactive and nasty.”
