One Donald Trump aide went on CNN Thursday to clear the air on a number of inaccuracies stated by a Trump spokeswoman on Wednesday.

Sam Clovis was a guest on CNN's "New Day" program to triage a series of inaccurate numbers used by Katrina Pierson a day earlier.

"I think we're fixing it," Clovis told "New Day." "I guarantee you that won't happen again with her, that's for sure. And it won't likely happen with anybody else."

In an appearance on CNN Wednesday, Pierson stated the following numbers regarding the war in Iraq:

• "Tens of thousands soldiers lost"
• "1 million wounded"

The actual numbers, via the Department of Defense, from 2003-2010:

• 4,424 killed
• 31,392 wounded

"Facts are important to me. … I have no idea where she got her information," Clovis told the program. "I think it's important to come on here and have accurate information and present our case in the best possible way we can. … I think facts always help you, the truth always helps you and I think that's where we always oughta be."
