Former George W. Bush adviser Karl Rove’s group Crossroads GPO has pumped $800,000 into a TV ad campaign opposing Democratic Sen. Patty Murray in Washington State. She is in a tough battle with Republican Dino Rossi.

Organizations including the National Rifle Association, unions, and the Democratic and Republican senatorial campaign committees have spent over $2.1 million on the race since Oct. 1, the Tri-City Herald in Washington reported.
Crossroads GPO is a spinoff of American Crossroads, a Republican support group founded by Rove and Ed Gillespie, former chairman of the Republican Party.
