Republican National Committee chief Ronna McDaniel on Thursday touted the GOP, saying, "I think we're in the best place we've ever been as a party," The Denver Post reported.
McDaniel made the comments in Denver while speaking at an event honoring Hispanic Heritage Month, the Post reported.
"The RNC has had, actually, record fundraising in a post-presidential year," she said. "That shows that our base is rallying around what our president put forward in terms of his agenda . . . I think we're in the best place we've ever been as a party."
As of August, the RNC had raised more than $93 million in 2017.
McDaniel acknowledged the recent spate of sparring between Congressional Republicans and President Donald Trump, but framed it as being par for the course.
"There's always going to be differences of opinion within your own party," the Post quoted McDaniel. "We have that in our own families — that happens — it makes us stronger when we have a dialogue and a discussion. But our purpose will unite us."
