Showing "flu-like symptoms" but having tested negative for the flu or strep, Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel has gone to the hospital and will need a test for the coronavirus.
Step and flu tests came up negative as McDaniel has a "fever and flu-like symptoms" that led her to go to a local hospital in Michigan. A test for coronavirus has been ordered.
GOP communications director Michael Ahrens tweeted:
"Last night, @GOPChairwoman's doctor determined a test for COVID-19 was necessary given her symptoms. We will provide an update when the test results are available."
Ahrens said more information on her health and test results will be come when they are available.
