Rasmussen: Johnson Leads Feingold in Wisconsin

Republican challenger Ron Johnson continues to earn more than 50 percent of the vote in his U.S. Senate bid against incumbent Democrat Russ Feingold in Wisconsin.

The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Voters in Wisconsin finds Johnson with 52 percent support. Feingold, who has represented the state in the Senate since 1993, earns 45 percent of the vote. Two percent (2 percent) are undecided.

The race remains Leans Republican in the Rasmussen Reports Election 2010 Senate Balance of Power rankings.

Two weeks ago, Johnson, a wealthy plastics manufacturer, held a 54 percent to 42 percent lead over Feingold. In surveys since May, Johnson’s support has risen from 44 percent to a high of 54 percent. Feingold in that same period has picked up 42 percent to 46 percent.

The survey of 750 Likely Voters in Wisconsin was conducted on Oct. 11, 2010, by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 4 percentage points.
