DeSantis Predicts Victory in Fla. GOP Primary for Governor

Rep. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., predicted victory in Tuesday’s Republican primary for Florida governor over opponent Adam Putnam.

“I think we’re poised to have a strong victory,” he said during a Tuesday interview on Fox News' "Fox & Friends."

"All the credible polls that actually poll likely Republican primary voters show us with a really, really strong lead," he said.

"It's really been that way for the last two months. I mean, coming out of the Fox debate at the end of June, every single poll we have taken in our campaign has had me up and up strong. I think you are going to see a strong victory, but a victory that shows strength in all corners of Florida."

President Donald Trump reiterated his support for DeSantis on Monday.

"He will be a great Governor and has my full and total Endorsement!," he wrote on Twitter.
