Former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney raised $1.8 million during the second fundraising quarter of this year — much more than any other Republican mulling a presidential run in 2012, according to a CNN report.
Romney has collected $3.4 million since the beginning of the year — more than double the roughly $1.3 million that his rivals, Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, raised during the same timeframe.
• In the second quarter, Palin raised $865,000, according to a report filed with the Federal Election Commission.
• Pawlenty managed $724,000 in the second quarter.
