Even after raking in millions from a three-day fundraising blitz in the Hamptons, Hillary Clinton's campaign manager Robby Mook said on Wednesday that it is still short of its goal of raising $10 million by tonight, as reported in the Washington Examiner.
"We have less than a day left to hit our critical $10 million online goal to close out August — and we're only 74 percent of the way there. Can you help us out with a quick $1 right now? It's the down payment we're making to prepare for the last lap of this race," Mook said in the email. "If we hit our $10 million target by tonight at midnight, we're going to be in good shape."
According to reports, the Democratic presidential nominee hopped from mansion to mansion, appearing at parties and dinners where the donations varied from $1,000 to $100,000.
