RNC Power Broker Anuzis Endorses Romney

GOP heavyweight Saul Anuzis is endorsing Mitt Romney for president, Politico reports. Anuzis is chairman of the Michigan state Republican Party and a member of the Republican National Committee.

He served on the RNC committee that hosted a briefing at last month’s meeting in Tampa, but he was giving attention to Rick Perry too. Now Anuzis is squarely behind Romney.

“His singular focus on fixing our economy combined with his Michigan roots and ability to relate to the hopes and dreams of Michigan voters make him the one candidate that can and will beat Barack Obama,” Anuzis said.

In a forthcoming statement, Romney says he is “thrilled to have him [Anuzis] on board our leadership team in a critical state like Michigan.”
