The Republican National Committee is launching a more than $1 million digital ad campaign praising President Donald Trump’s response to the coronavirus outbreak.

Politico noted the ad blitz comes as liberal groups are already spending money on commercials attacking Trump for his response.

One RNC spot runs for 21 seconds. It features Trump saying: “I don’t care who it is. I’ll work with anybody if I feel I’m going to help the American people and the American worker.”

The ad features comments from Gov. Gavin Newsom of California and New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo – both Democrats – crediting Trump’s response.

The ads are scheduled to begin on Monday and run through May 4. According to Politico, the ads target registered independents and moderate Democrats in more than 12 battleground states.

Pacronym, a liberal super PAC, is already running a web video blasting Trump’s response. And Win The West, a super PAC aligned with Democrats, announced it was launching a digital ad targeting Trump for his coronavirus response.
