Rick Santorum is breaking some rules and taking a lighter approach with his most recent campaign ad, reports
Politico.
The former senator announced in July that he and the rest of the Santorum clan would spend their summer vacation traveling 2,500 miles to tour 50 cities across the state of Iowa. The image of the nine members of the Santorum family packed into just two minivans for nearly a month is one reminiscent of the film comedy “Cheaper by the Dozen.”
Santorum hasn’t shied away from the humor of his unusual family vacation. His latest ad, appropriately titled “Family Vacation,” announces the family tour has just 19 days “1,362 ‘Are we there, yet’s’” left.
According to the ad, the “epic trip” will set the former Pennsylvania Senator apart from his competitors, by proving he has the “courage, fortitude, and remarkable patience it takes to be President.”
The advertised “Fight for American Values” tour has been crisscrossing Iowa to meet Iowans, share their summertime traditions, and drum up voters’ support for the upcoming straw poll at the University of Iowa on August 13.
