Concern No. 1 for many Americans now is jobs – keeping them or finding them. Republicans believe that budget cuts will create new jobs by allowing the private sector to step in for government. And now Republicans in Congress are working harder to communicate that message to the public,
Politico reports.

John Cornyn says some Republicans are concerned that the jobs issue isn’t being emphasized enough. “People tend to get focused on cuts and spending, but really the ultimate goal is to encourage the private sector to invest and create new jobs,” he told Politico. “That’s part of what we need to do.”
GOP congressmen have been meeting in recent days to set a strategy to do just that.
