Republicans feel news broadcasts are more partisan than Democrats, according to a new study.
Sunday's edition of "Full Measure" looks at how Americans perceive media bias. Katerina Matsa of the Pew Research Center told host Sharyl Attkisson her organization conducted a study that concluded there's a large gap between political parties on the issue.
"What we found was that Republicans are actually more likely than Democrats to say that news organizations tend to favor one side," Matsa said.
According to Attkisson, the numbers show that 87 percent of Republicans and somewhere around 50 percent of Democrats said news organizations show political bias. The difference is the largest since 2007.
Another figure that came out of the study shows that 34 percent of Democrats trust national news, compared to just 11 percent of Republicans.
The numbers have all increased since President Donald Trump took office.
Trump routinely bashes the media, paying particular attention to CNN, MSNBC, The New York Times, and The Washington Post. He took his attacks to another level Thursday morning when he ripped MSNBC host Mika Brzezinski.
"Full Measure" airs Sunday on Sinclair stations nationwide, and is streamed live on Sundays at 9:30 a.m. ET at FullMeasure.news.
