A Missouri state lawmaker has offered to loan his personal guns to any visitors to his state's Capitol building because the public is not allowed to bring in weapons.
Republican Rep. Nick Marshall is upset by rules that make it illegal for members of the public to bring firearms into the building. Metal detectors at the entrances scan everyone for weapons and other illegal items.
In a series of Facebook posts this week, Marshall made his position on the issue clear.
In a second post, Marshall offered to provide a weapon for anyone who has a license to carry a concealed firearm while they are in the State Capitol.
According to The Hill, a sign on Marshall's door outlines his offer.
State lawmakers and their staff members are allowed to bring firearms into the building, reports The Kansas City Star.
