A progressive and well-funded super PAC has knocked on nearly 4 million doors in seven key battleground states to mobilize millennials and minorities to vote in November, The Washington Post reported.
For Our Future, which boasts billionaire environmental activist Tom Steyer as a big benefactor, has raised $60 million in its quest to get 9.5 million people to the polls in seven key battleground states:
- Missouri;
- Florida;
- Pennsylvania;
- Ohio;
- Wisconsin;
- Nevada;
- North Carolina.
Steyer has donated $20 million to the cause. Four labor unions, including the AFL-CIO, have also donated to the Super PAC.
"Through research and listening to what people were saying at the doors we have found that face-to-face conversations about issues like racial justice, education, immigration and climate transcend the negativity," Amanda Brown, campaign director of For Our Future, told the Post.
