Despite media claiming Amb. Gordon Sondland's impeachment inquiry testimony was damaging, President Donald Trump resisted, saying it would qualify as a technical knockout.

"If this were a prizefight, they'd stop it!" Trump tweeted after the conclusion of the afternoon hearing featuring testimony from his administration's ambassador to the European Union.

Sondland testified it was his "presumption" lethal military aid to Ukraine was conditioned on its new president's announcement of an investigation into a Ukraine energy company that hired Hunter Biden, the son of the former Vice President.

As the evening testimony completed, Trump tweeted for his followers to watch "big news" on Fox News – all while the top Democratic presidential candidates were participating into an MSNBC debate.

"Watch @TuckerCarlson, @seanhannity, @IngrahamAngle. Big News! @FoxNews," Trump tweeted.

Trump added later via Twitter:

"All four of Gordon Sondland's lawyers are Democrat Donors." @TuckerCarlson Despite this, big win today for Republicans!"
