Poll: Dem Katie Porter Has Slight Lead Over Mimi Walters in Calif. 

A new poll by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee shows 49 percent of likely voters in California 45th District are backing Democrat Katie Porter, while 46 percent support GOP Rep. Mimi Walters, Roll Call is reporting.

Five percent of those polled were undecided in the race.

Here is how the rest of the poll breaks down, according to Roll Call:

• 44 percent had a favorable view of Walters, compared to 45 percent who had an unfavorable impression of her.
• 35 percent viewed Porter favorably, while 16 percent viewed her unfavorably
• 45 percent of those in the district, which was won by Hillary Clinton in 2016, had a favorable view of President Donald Trump, compared to 54 percent had an unfavorable impression of him

The poll, conducted by Tulchin Research, surveyed 500 likely voters. It was conducted Aug. 10-14 and has a margin of error of 4.38 percentage points.
