Republican Donald Trump is up one point from a week ago, but still trails Democrat Hillary Clinton by 6 points in the latest Fox News presidential election poll.
In a survey of likely voters, a four-way contest including Libertarian Gary Johnson and the Green Party's Jill Stein looks like this:
- Clinton: 45 percent
- Trump: 39 percent
- Johnson: 5 percent
- Stein: 3 percent
Clinton led Trump by seven points in the same poll a week ago. She led by only two points in early October.
With Johnson and Stein taken out of the picture, Clinton leads Trump 49 percent-42 percent. Last week, she led 49 percent-41 percent in the head-to-head contest.
Clinton has a commanding lead over Trump when it comes to temperament. Sixty-one percent think Clinton has the right temperament to serve, while 61 percent said Trump does not.
Fifty-three percent said Clinton has the proper judgment, while only 37 percent say the same for Trump.
The poll was conducted by landline and cellphone from Saturday to Monday and talked to 1,011 registered voters nationwide. It includes the results of 912 likely voters. The margin of error is plus-or-minus three percentage points.
