Florida Senate: Nelson Leads Scott in Latest Emerson Poll

Florida Sen. Bill Nelson, a Democrat, holds a slim lead over his Republican challenger, Rick Scott, in the latest poll from Emerson College.

In a survey of just under 800 people, 50 percent backed Nelson and 45 percent supported Scott, with three percent undecided. Emerson also found that Democratic gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum leads Republican Ron DeSantis 51 percent to 46 percent, and that President Donald Trump is rated favorably by 46 percent and unfavorably by 50 percent.

Emerson polled 784 voters from Nov. 1-3, with a margin of error of  3.7 percentage points.
