Democrat Andrew Gillum holds a single-point advantage over Republican Rep. Ron DeSantis in a new poll from USA Today and Suffolk University on the race for Florida governor.
Gillum managed 45 percent and DeSantis 44 percent with 8 percent undecided. Gillum leads with women, black and Hispanic voters, while DeSantis leads with men, white and elderly voters. Almost one-quarter of independents remain undecided, and voters ranked the economy, healthcare and education as their top issues in the race.
Suffolk surveyed 500 voters from Oct. 25 to 28, with a margin of error of 4.4 percent.
