CBS Poll: Most Say Flynn's Guilty Plea 'Serious Matter' for Trump

Two-thirds of Americans said the developments regarding Michael Flynn in the Russia investigation are a "serious matter" for the Trump administration, according to a new survey.

Key results from the CBS News poll:

• 67 percent said Flynn's guilty plea for lying to the FBI is a "serious matter" for the Trump White House to deal with.
• 81 percent of Republicans said the Russia investigation is "political motivated," while 46 percent of Americans overall said it is justified.
• 67 percent said it is "very/somewhat" likely advisors of President Donald Trump had improper dealings with Russia, a number that included 92 percent of Democrats.

Nearly $7 million has been spent on the Russia probe headed by former FBI director Robert Mueller. Four people have been charged thus far: Flynn, former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort, Manafort's business associate Rick Gates, and former Trump campaign adviser George Papadopoulos.
