Vice President Mike Pence is contributing to the campaigns of high-profile Republican candidates for the 2018 midterm elections, according to Politico.
Through his new political action committee, Great America Committee, Pence is supporting candidates such as Missouri Senate contender Josh Hawley, Nevada governor hopeful Adam Laxalt, and Florida Gov. Rick Scott, who is looking into running for U.S. Senate, the report said.
Pence also is donating to a number of candidates who have supported President Donald Trump's administration, such as Rep. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., who is aiming for a Senate spot, and Sen. John Barrasso, R-Wyo.
A half-dozen House Freedom Caucus members, including chairman Rep. Mark Meadows, R-N.C., are also recipients, Politico reported.
"The vice president is grateful to those who have gone above and beyond to promote the president's policies. He will always stand with those who stand with the president's agenda," Pence spokeswoman Alyssa Farah said, according to Politico.
Alabama Republican Senate candidate Roy Moore, who has been accused of sexual misconduct, is not one of the Pence recipients, the report said.
