President-elect Donald Trump will "make his administration the most diverse in history," including empowering women and having them shatter the glass ceiling, insists Omarosa Manigault, who led his black outreach team.
Writing in a guest column published Tuesday in The Hollywood Reporter, Manigault said that Trump "does not judge people on their gender or race. He judges them on their ability to do the job."
Declaring "I am black, female, and Donald Trump is my friend," Manigault, who was a contestant on "The Apprentice," says she worked with Trump for four years and never observed any of the negative behaviors attributed to him.
She wrote that proof of his open-mindedness can be found in the Trump Organization, which has more women executives than thecompetition. And, as far as race goes, Manigault wrote, "Look at my career, the wealth and exposure that I've had: It's very difficult to make the argument that Donald Trump doesn't like black people and black women."
Manigault, who is now on Trump’s transition team, wrote that the president-elect "has given me a personal directive that with the 4,000 jobs we need to fill, he wants his administration to be the most diverse in history," which includes LGBT.
She also wrote about Trump’s kindness and compassion, which the world has not seen, describing how he was one of the first ones to contact her when her brother was murdered about five years ago.
Manigault wrote that Trump was also very compassionate towards her when tragedy struck her again when her fiancé died of a heart attack.
