O'Donnell Defeated at Polls, but Not in Spirit

Tuesday, 02 November 2010 10:39 PM EDT

Republican Senate candidate Christine O'Donnell may have gone down to defeat in Delaware, but she remains unbowed. The tea party movement that sparked O’Donnell’s candidacy lives on, she says, according to Politico.

Meanwhile, constituents will hold Democratic victor Chris Coons accountable, "like it or not," O’Donnell told her supporters. "Although the outcome isn’t what we all worked so hard for, our voice was heard, will continue to be heard. So I hope and pray that you are as encouraged as I am."
