Two October surprises that rocked the campaigns of Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton — a lewd 2005 videotape involving the GOP nominee and a renewed probe of the Democrat's emails from her time as secretary of state — did little to sway voters Tuesday, exit polling shows.

The Washington Post reported most voters made up their minds about the candidates long before that.

According to the polling, six in 10 made their choice by the end of the summer.
