Obama, Romney Campaigns Fight over China Policy

By    |   Friday, 14 October 2011 03:02 PM EDT

The campaigns of President Barack Obama and Republican front-runner Mitt Romney are going at it over the former Massachusetts governor’s call for a tougher trade stance against China. The two sides have taken to Twitter to duke it out, The Hill reports.

“A year ago, Romney hit Obama in ‘No Apology’ for being too tough on China. Now Mitt’s a trade warrior? Should have called his book ‘No Shame!’” Obama’s campaign manager David Axelrod tweeted Thursday.

The Romney camp didn’t take that barb lying down. Eric Fehrnstrom, a senior campaign adviser responded on the social network: “@davidaxelrod You should rename Obama's book, ‘The Audacity of Indifference, or How I Golfed My Way Through a Recession.’"
