Rep. Holding Has 9-Point Lead Over Dem Challenger in NC's 2nd District Race

Republican Rep. George Holding is leading his Democratic challenger Linda Coleman 49 percent to 40 percent in an attempt to hold onto to his seat in North Carolina’s 2^nd Congressional District, according to a SurveyUSA poll released on Tuesday.

Libertarian Jeff Matemo is far behind at 2 percent, while 9 percent are undecided.

Forty percent of those polled said that they have a favorable view of Holding, while 27 percent said they had an unfavorable one. Regarding Coleman, 34 percent said they had a favorable view, while 38 percent had an unfavorable one.

Fifty-two percent said they approve of the job President Donald Trump is doing, while 44 percent said they disapproved.

The survey interviewed 600 registered voters from North Carolina's 2nd Congressional District between Oct.24-28.
