President Donald Trump's achievements on peace in the Middle East are "pretty remarkable and historic," as he took a different route toward achieving agreements between Israel and neighboring countries, Nikki Haley, the former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, said Wednesday.

"Rather than focus on the Palestinians, which is what every president thought they had to do to negotiate peace, he focused on Iran, and he brought all of the Arab countries together and said let's all fight against terrorism," Haley said on Fox News' "America's Newsroom."

The deal came together, she added, because Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, and Israel trusted Trump because he got out of the Iran nuclear deal and was honest with them.

"They trusted him because he showed strength in a time where we needed it," said Haley. "The stars were in alignment. It was effective. He started this from the second he started his presidency and what a way to wrap up the first term in a very, very historic peace deal. It was amazing to be there and an honor to watch."

Haley added that with former President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden, their idea of peace was to give "planeloads of cash to Iran under a false narrative."

"The president's idea for peace was being honest and acknowledging the truth, which was moving the embassy to the capital of Israel, which was Jerusalem," said Haley. "It was getting out of the Iran deal because it was a fake deal where Iran was not in any way doing what it was supposed to and everybody was turning a blind eye."

Also, he focused on the "number-one sponsor of terrorism," Iran, she said.

"[Trump] didn't give them any niceties or false narratives," said Haley. "He said, 'If we go through this together you can trust me and we can get this done,'" she added. To get Bahrain and the UAE to sign agreements with Israel is "absolutely monumental, historical, [and] definitely a legacy point for President Trump."
