PPP Poll: Biden up 14 in New Mexico

A new poll of New Mexico voters shows Democrat Joe Biden with a 14-point lead over President Donald Trump.

The poll results show:

• 53% of New Mexico voters support Biden for president.
• 39% support Trump.
• 2% said they back Libertarian Party candidate Jo Jorgensen, while another 2% said they would vote for someone else.
• Biden has the support of 86% of Democrats, while 84% of Republicans said they would vote for Trump.
• 43% of independents said they would vote for Biden, while 35% said they would vote for Trump.
• Biden leads among Hispanic voters (67% to 26%), Native American voters (66% to 18%), and voters from other ethnicities (54% to 16%).
• Trump has the support of white voters, 53% to 41%.

The poll was conducted from Sept. 30 to Oct. 1 among 886 New Mexico voters for NM Political Report. The margin of error is plus or minus 3.3 percentage points.
