House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi on Tuesday called for "real action" to end gun violence as she monitored the active-shooter situation at YouTube headquarters in California.
The California Democrat tweeted:
Pelosi's San Francisco district is just north of San Bruno, which is YouTube headquarters and where law enforcement responded to emergency calls of an active shooter about 4 p.m. ET.
Another California Democrat, Rep. Jackie Speier, who represents the district that includes San Bruno, also said "we must take action and #EndGunViolence" in her tweet:
"I am shocked and saddened to hear about another mass shooting, this one at YouTube in my district," she said.
The U.S. senator representing the district, Democrat Dianne Feinstein, said in her post that "my stomach sinks with yet another active-shooter alert."
Here is her post:
"I'm praying for the safety of everyone at YouTube headquarters," Feinstein she said.
