President Donald Trump – set to meet the two top Democrats in Congress on Tuesday to discuss the Republican tax bill and how to stop a government shutdown – does not believe a deal can be worked out.
In an early morning tweet, the commander in chief referred to Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., as "Chuck and Nancy" and said "I don't see a deal."
The last agreement Trump hammered out with Schumer and Pelosi occurred in September when the trio signed off on a short-term increase in the nation's debt limit and a temporary spending bill that keeping the government running through Dec. 8.
The sit down will occur at the White House.
