Special counsel Robert Mueller has subpoenaed documents between a witness in the Russia investigation and 10 campaign associates this person corresponded with — including President Donald Trump, Axios first reported.
Further, Mueller's subpoena, issued last month, seeks all communications — including handwritten notes — dating back to Nov. 1, 2015, just 5 months after Trump announced his candidacy, Axios reported.
The other nine campaign officials with whom the witness corresponded:
- Carter Page.
- Corey Lewandowski.
- Hope Hicks.
- Keith Schiller.
- Michael Cohen.
- Paul Manafort.
- Rick Gates.
- Roger Stone.
- Steve Bannon.
Once Hicks leaves, Cohen will be the only person on this list who still holds a job in the Trump administration.
Notable is that Michael Flynn, who resigned shortly after Trump's inauguration, is not on the list, making it possible he might be the witness who was served the subpoena.
The latest comes a few days after NBC reported that Mueller is now investigating what Trump and his campaign knew about the hacked Democratic emails and whether the campaign coordinated with WikiLeaks on the email dump heading into the election.
