The race for Montana’s at-large district in the House of Representatives is currently a tie after Republican candidate and current Rep. Greg Gianforte lost his 9 percentage-point advantage from last month over Democratic challenger Kathleen Williams, according to a Gravis Marketing poll released on Tuesday.
Gianforte and Williams are currently both polling at 48 percent, after the Gravis survey from September showed the Republican with a 51 percent to 42 percent advantage.
The race has been very topsy-turvy, according to Gravis, as back in June, Williams held a 49 percent to 43 percent lead over the Republican.
The random survey of 782 likely voters in Montana was conducted from Oct. 24-26, with a margin of error of ±3.5%.
