The United States military may pull out of Syria "very soon," President Donald Trump said Thursday.

Trump touched on the current situation in the Middle East during a speech in Ohio.

"We're knocking the hell out of ISIS. We'll be coming out of Syria, like, very soon," Trump said, according to Politico. "Let the other people take care of it now.

"We're going to have 100 percent of the caliphate . . . we're taking it all back."

U.S. and coalition forces have pushed the ISIS terror group out of much of the land it once held over the last year. The group formerly had a de facto capital in Raqqa, Syria, before that fell last October. It has since been classified as on the run.

In February, it was reported U.S. forces have begun to draw down from Iraq with fighting against ISIS insurgents scaled back.
