The race to decide who occupies Iowa's 3rd Congressional District seat is about even, with Republican incumbent David Young trailing by one point.

The results from a new Emerson poll indicate that Democrat Cindy Axne has 46 percent support. Young, who first took office in 2015, has the backing of 45 percent of likely Iowa voters.

Six percent of voters are still undecided, a figure that could swing the race one way or the other.
