Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s investigation into the Russia probe will be damning and reveal a pattern of how evidence was manipulated to get a FISA warrant, Senate Judiciary Committee member Lindsey Graham told Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures.”
The senator said he has not yet seen a copy of the report, which is to be released on Monday, but expects that “we will see ... they ignored strong signals that Christopher Steele, the author of the dossier, was biased against [President Donald] Trump. They withheld information from the court about how the dossier was created.”
The senator added that “I think you're going to see the system off the rails. I think you're going to see members of the Department of Justice and FBI taking the law into their own hands.”
Graham, however, said the public should not judge the report until Horowitz testifies in front of his judicial committee this coming Wednesday.
Graham said he hopes that in the aftermath of the report “we will see indictments, [because] I’m looking to make sure this never happens again. The only way to prevent it from happening again is people have to pay a price this time, so there will be no next time.”
