House Freedom Caucus Chairman Mark Meadows, R-N.C., took to Twitter on Tuesday and said that Republican leadership's demands to pass a funding bill do not lead to an "honest debate."

House Republicans are weighing plans to pass a funding bill that would extend beyond a Dec. 8 deadline. Beyond that deadline, the government would shut down.

Republican leaders are weighing deals to fund the government through Dec. 30, House Freedom Caucus members said Monday, according to The Hill.
