McMahon Considers Running for Senate Again

Republican Linda McMahon, who lost her bid for a Connecticut Senate seat this month to Democrat Richard Blumenthal, may run again in 2012 against independent incumbent Sen. Joe Lieberman. "I'm not taking anything off the table," she told a Connecticut TV station, The Hill reports.

mcmahon, considers, another, runThe former CEO of World Wrestling Entertainment spent more than $50 million of her own money in her losing effort this year. She already has a TV ad scheduled for next week across the state to thank her supporters.

Many in the Republican establishment would look favorably upon McMahon because she can finance her own campaign. But given her defeat this year, in elections where Republicans in general scored huge gains, she still has a lot of persuading to do.
