House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy is warning Democrats against tactics to increase the number of justices on the Supreme Court, calling it a "terrible thing to do" and that the  public doesn't support "stacking" the high court.

In an interview Wednesday on Sinclair Broadcasting’s “America This Week,” the GOP California lawmaker derided Democrats for pushing the issue to get their own way.

"It begins to show the Democrats want their own rules. I mean, from stacking the court to changing electoral system to making Washington, D.C. a state — it's all about gaming the system because they cannot win when it's a fair process,” he charged.

"It's a terrible thing to do," he added. "They want to stack the Supreme Court."

He also said House Speaker Nancy Pelosi could face an insurrection by her party if Democrats maintain their majority in House in next election

"It would only take a few more...to really topple her and have a new Speaker in the House,” he said.
