Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., blasted Secretary of State Rex Tillerson Friday and then bid him goodbye from his Cabinet post.

Waters, a frequent and outspoken critic of President Donald Trump and his administration, tweeted Friday afternoon:

Waters' use of the word "moron" was in reference to reports this week that suggested Tillerson described Trump in that way and then had to be persuaded by Vice President Mike Pence not to resign.

The State Department denied Tillerson used that type of language.

Waters' inclusion of the term "bye Felicia!" was a shot at reports that Tillerson may may be replaced as America's top diplomat.

According to Dictionary.com, "Bye Felicia is a dismissive term which can be used in a number of different contexts. Most simply and frequently, it is used as a cold way to bid someone farewell."
