It’s no mystery what Indiana State Treasurer Richard Mourdock’s campaign strategy will be in challenging Sen. Dick Lugar in the Republican primary next year. Mourdock is formally announcing his candidacy Tuesday, and as part of the campaign launch he’s putting out a video showing Lugar’s ties with President Barack Obama,
The Hill reports.

The video begins with Obama citing Lugar in the speech announcing his 2008 presidential bid and a shot of the campaign ad Obama ran in Indiana that showed him with Lugar. "He said that Lugar was among a handful of people . . . 'who have shaped my ideas and who will be surrounding me in the White House,'" reads text on the video.
It also points out Lugar's support for the DREAM Act, the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty and both of Obama's Supreme Court choices.
