Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., called the Judiciary Committee’s hearing on Brett Kavanaugh, President Donald Trump’s nominee for the Supreme Court, a "comedy of errors."
Graham’s comments came in a Friday interview on television’s "Fox & Friends."
"Law students, this should be required viewing," he said. "One thing to learn from this hearing, if you are going to use a document to impeach a witness, read it. The document (Democrats) used to accuse (Kavanaugh) of racial profiling, if you read the damn thing he was against racial profiling.
"If you don’t like him, vote no. But don’t suggest this man is anything other than honest."
"None of them (Democratic committee members) are going to vote for Judge Kavanaugh, but all of them should because he’s the most well-qualified man in America that a Republican could have chosen."
Kavanaugh’s hearing is scheduled to conclude on Friday. Democratic witnesses include John Dean, Richard Nixon’s White House counsel who cooperated with prosecutors during the Watergate probe.
