Rep. Linda Sanchez, D-Calif., says it's time for a change in Democratic leadership in the House.
Her comments came during an interview on C-SPAN. Sanchez was asked if Democrats win back the House in 2018, whether they should keep the same leaders.
"I personally think our leadership does a tremendous job," she said without mentioning House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., by name. "But I do think we have this real breadth and depth of talent within our caucus and I do think it's time to pass the torch to a new generation of leaders and I want to be part of that transition.
"I think we have too many really great members here that don't always get the opportunity they should. I would like to see that change."
The Washington Examiner noted rank and file Democrats appear increasingly restless for a change. Sanchez is vice chair of the House Democratic Caucus, the Examiner reported.
