Conservative commentator Laura Ingraham doled out some advice to House Speaker Paul Ryan Friday after a planned vote on the GOP's healthcare bill was canceled.
Ingraham, who hosts a radio show and serves as editor-in-chief of LifeZette, aired her thoughts on Twitter as to where Ryan needs to go from here:
Ryan and President Donald Trump came to the conclusion Friday afternoon that the American Health Care Act did not have enough support and that a vote on it should be scrapped. Both expressed their disappointment, particularly because Republicans have promised for years to repeal and replace the 2010 Obamacare law.
Trump said the defeat will ultimately lead to a better piece of healthcare legislation.
"We really had it," he said. "It was pretty much there within grasp, but I'll tell you what's going to come out of it is a better bill."
