When President Donald Trump criticizes freshman Reps. Ilhan Omar, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rashida Tlaib, and Ayanna Pressley, he's standing up for the United States, not launching attacks against women, Lara Trump, his daughter-in-law, a senior advisor for his reelection campaign, said Friday.
"I think most women that I have talked to understand that these particular four ladies do not represent women as a whole in this country," Trump, who was in Pennsylvania earlier this week launching the "Women for Trump" coalition, told Fox News' "Fox and Friends."
"They have very extreme ideas. They constantly dump on our country, call it garbage. They are fighting against the people trying to protect us at our southern border."
Women love that the president is a "fighter, as "women want a fighter too," said Trump.
"I always hear, what are the women's issues?" she said. "Women's issues are American issues. We want a better economy. We want more jobs. Under this president, almost six million new jobs created, 56% have gone to women."
Meanwhile, Trump also commented about the upcoming second Democratic presidential debates, which will have former Vice President Joe Biden coming face-to-face with Sen. Kamala Harris again "I always said I don't think it matters who the nominee on the Democrat side, because this president is so strong, the economy is so strong, he delivered on all the promises," said Trump, who is married to Trump's son Eric. "He feels great going into the campaign."
