Labor unions are offering praise for President Donald Trump's plan for tariffs on aluminum and steel imports, saying that U.S. workers will benefit from the plans, the Washington Examiner reported.
Trump on Thursday announced plans for 25 percent tariffs on steel imports and 10 percent on aluminum imports, the Examiner reported.
The tariffs are "good steps toward fixing predatory practices," AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka said on Twitter.

Trump's tariff plan, however, stirred criticism from European officials, The Washington Post reported.
