After each candidate visited riot-roiled Kenosha, Wisconsin, this week, Joe Biden holds a 6-point lead in the pivotal battleground state, according to the CBS News/YouGov poll released Sunday.

Biden drew 50% support compared to Trump's 44%, with 4% undecided and 2% voting for a third-party candidate.

Trump narrowly won Wisconsin in 2016 and Kenosha has been the site of violent riots and arson after Jacob Blake, a Black man, was shot seven times by a police officer.

After the candidates' visits, more Wisconsin voters back the Biden campaign messaging that Trump is trying to "encourage fighting," while just 40% back the Trump campaign messaging the president is trying to "calm the situation."

Inversely, 50% back the Biden campaign messaging the former vice president to trying to "calm the situation," while just 28% believe the Trump campaign messaging Biden is trying to "encourage fighting."

A majority of Wisconsin voters polled also buy the Biden messaging Trump is to blame for the recent protests, with 43% "strongly" disapproving and another 12% "somewhat" disapproving of Trump's handling. Just 27% "strongly" approve and 18% "somewhat" approve of Trump's handling of the situation.

YouGov polled 1,006 registered Wisconsin voters between Sept. 2-4, and the poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.7 percentage points.
